Seoul, Korea

   On January 25, 2011, Val and DeeAnn flew to Seoul, Korea, to visit the Ridlon family. Robert and Crystal and their boys had come to Tagum to visit us over Christmas. They in turn invited us to visit them.

   The even went so far as to invite DeeAnn to live with them. Wow!!! What an opportunity of a lifetime. So, we trusted God and went to Korea.

Val stayed in Seoul for nearly two weeks helping DeeAnn get settled and adjusted. DeeAnn then stayed on in Seoul for a total of three months. She was able to learn some of the Korean language and just get some experience away from home. She was a big help to Robert and Crystal in taking care of their three young boys.

   Val even had the joy of sharing about the NEOS ministry in three elementary classrooms at the Seoul Foreign School.



   DeeAnn said that her time in Korea was wonderful and she is so glad that she did it. The biggest thing she learned was how to be responsible. She will never forget this adventure and the kindness of the Ridlon family for allowing it to happen.

   Thank you Robert, Crystal, Robby, Christopher, and Daniel!! May God bless you for blessing DeeAnn with memories that she will always cherish. We are grateful.

The NEOS Bible Curriculum For All Ages

Valerie is now writing Sunday school material. It is chronological in that it begins with Genesis and the story of Creation. The series will eventually cover the entire Bible. Each book will cover a small part of God's Word. The books come complete with visuals, lesson plans, teaching instructions, games, review questions, exams, and in every few books there is even a complete Vacation Bible School.

Valerie now has four titles published in her series, The NEOS Bible Curriculum For All Ages.

Book 1: Creation to Cain and Abel (with VBS)

Book 2: Noah to Abraham
Book 3: Isaac and Jacob

Book 4: Joseph (with VBS)

All four books are now available in the USA and in the Philippines. These four books together are the complete book of Genesis in the Bible.

Kids Korner

Esther is nearly seventeen years old and is in high school in Davao City. She is at Faith Academy Mindanao. She is having a grand time and is learning how to budget her time and her money wisely. Esther is now on the student council and has high hopes of doing great things for the school. She is now looking at colleges and hopes to major in graphic arts.

Steven is nearly fifteen years old and has graduated from the 8th grade. He is very ready to join Esther at school in Davao City in the fall of 2011. He is in charge of the worship team at NEOS and is working hard to be responsible and reliable with this important job. He was the Bible verse teacher at the NEOS Vacation Bible school in April of 2011 and can now say he is a graduate of the the NEOS teacher's training program.

DeeAnn is twelve years old and is also a new graduate of her homeshool years. She will join her brother and sister at school in Davao City this August 2011. She will be in middle school. She is now a regular worship leader on Sunday nights at NEOS. She also loves being a part of the NEOS teaching teams and she plans to graduate from the NEOS teacher's training program some day.
