Outland Adventure/Jan 2011

On January 8, 2011, the NEOS staff and volunteers spent the day at Outland Adventure in Davao City.   Outland Adventure is a ropes course that teaches teamwork and obedience and responsibility.

It gave the staff and volunteers a wonderful day away from school and work to just relax and enjoy.

Esther and DeeAnn on the ropes course.   It was DeeAnn's first time.  Esther enjoyed it so much that she wanted to do it again.

Steven on the 'earthquake' waiting to move on to the next challenge.

One of the groups discussing how to make application to their lives after doing one of the challenges.

One thing we learned is to never point blame to others and to take responsibility for our own actions.

We go to Outland Adventure every January.   So, we look forward to going again next year.   Anyone want to join us?   Come on down, or should I say over?   Just come!!!

Visitors from USA via Korea

Robert and Crystal Ridlon and their three boys came to visit the Boado Family in the Philippines over the Christmas holidays.   Robert is a university professor in Seoul, Korea.  We know them from Bloomington, Indiana, where Robert got his doctorate in business.

We had a wonderful time together and we are so glad that they came to visit. Let us know when YOU want to come visit and we will roll out the red carpet for you.

NEOS Baptism/Dec 2010

On December 18, 2010, Pastor Mike baptized sixteen people.

The big joy is that one of them, Jerson, was a child that midwife Valerie delivered nearly 10 years ago.   Both of his parents now live and work at NEOS.

What a joy to see families and children choosing to follow Jesus.

Christmas at NEOS/2010

NEOS had ten Christmas parties in December of 2010.   Mae-Ann Ang, a NEOS staff member, told the Bible lesson at several of the parties.

NEOS has six staff members and over 15 volunteers that help run all of the NEOS ministries.   Here they are after one of the Christmas parties.

A school in the USA donated basketball and volleyball uniforms.   We were able to give all of the NEOS staff and volunteers their very own uniform for Christmas.   They were so happy.   God is good.

We were nearly 100 adults and children at the NEOS Family Christmas party.   What a joy for us to all be together.

Val Taught First Grade at Faith Academy Mindanao

From Nov. 22-26 and Dec. 13-17, 2010, Valerie substituted in the first grade classroom at Faith Academy Mindanao (FAM).

The greatest joy of the two weeks was leading one little girl to Jesus.
